Diana comes to Unique Holistic Care with over 10 years of healthcare experience. She began her career in health care by working as a Certified Nursing Assistant with geriatric patients in a long-term care facility. Diana has worked as a Registered Nurse in various roles in the inpatient and outpatient settings. For the last year and a half, Diana has worked as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the outpatient setting. In addition to her extensive clinical experience, Diana has an outstanding academic background that includes two Bachelor’s Degrees (a BS in Psychology and a BS in Nursing from Old Dominion University) and two Master’s Degrees (a MS in Nursing Leadership & Administration from Old Dominion University and a MS from the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at Virginia Commonwealth University).

Diana’s primary clinical focus is caring for clients age 6 and up with mental health disorders including but not limited to anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, developmental disorders (including autism spectrum) and posttraumatic stress disorder. Diana completes psychiatric evaluations and provides medication management to patients throughout the lifespan, utilizing evidence-based practice modalities while focusing on prevention, diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders.

Diana’s goals are to provide patient-centered care and restore and increase patient stability and well-being. She believes it is important to build trust and develop a therapeutic alliance with patients, and does this by working collaboratively with them. Diana is determined to provide support and be attentive to each patient’s needs. Utilizing a holistic and biopsychosocial approach when developing treatment plans, Diana focuses on treating patients from a clinical, emotional, mental, spiritual, social, cultural and genetic perspective.
